I think Alberta Independence recognizes this. I hope they do. I know many people keep saying that this person or that person should lead. I think not. I think key people for certain departments but no definitive leader - just people governing themselves and holding themselves accountable through the civility act and good citizens act with agreed upon consequences when that doesn't go well. Until everyone is responsible no one is responsible or accountable.

Smith would rather live in a Carney lead Canada, than an independent Alberta. Forever. Beyond that, independence has zero chance of success. Alberta is not a provinve of mavericks. It is a normie province with a small % of people who are tired of the status quo. 70% of Albertans will vote for the status quo. Maybe more. Smith and Polievre will do everything they can to ensure Canada remains a Liberal stronghold.
